Highway Certified Insurance Agency
Your insurance gets checked before you get the load.
VL 17 is a Highway Certified insurance agency. The coverage brokers see for your authority is accurate, complete down to the VIN, and updated the day anything changes — so verification stops being the thing that slows you down.
- Insurance on file
- Verified
- Coverage detail
- VIN-level
- Certificate holder
- Highway named
- Policy changes
- Reported same day
Highway is the platform freight brokers use to verify carrier identity and insurance before they book a load.
Why this decides whether you get the load
Before a broker hands you freight, they check who you are and whether your insurance is real, current, and actually covers the equipment you are about to move.
If the certificate on file is stale, or the truck you are running is not listed on the policy, you do not look risky — you look unverified. Unverified carriers get passed over, and nobody calls to tell you why.
What certification obligates us to
Certification is not a logo. It is three standards our agency is held to on every policy we write.
-
Certificates that hold up
Highway is named as certificate holder on every certificate of insurance we issue. Every policy, no exceptions, and no waiting for our office to open.
-
Coverage down to the VIN
Every scheduled auto policy we write carries complete unit-level detail. A broker checking the truck you are running finds the truck you are running.
-
Changes reported the day they happen
Cancellations, non-renewals, units added, units dropped — they reach Highway immediately, so what brokers see is what you actually have.
What changes for you
-
Fewer emails before dispatch
Brokers stop asking you for documents they can already verify themselves.
-
No Friday-evening certificate scramble
The certificate is already on file, already correct, and already names the right holder.
-
A trust signal on your profile
Certification is visible to the broker at the moment they are choosing a carrier.
-
An edge over carriers they cannot verify
When two carriers can haul the same load, the verified one gets the call.
Questions carriers ask us
Does working with a Highway Certified agency cost more?
No. Certification is a standard our agency meets. It is not a product, an endorsement, or a line on your premium.
I already have insurance somewhere else. Can you take it over?
Yes. We will review what you have, tell you plainly whether it is competitive, and move it when your policy allows. If your current coverage is the better deal, we will say so.
Does this replace my FMCSA filings?
No. Your BMC-91 and other federal filings work exactly the same way. Certification is about the accuracy of what brokers see, not about your operating authority.
We run more than one truck. Does this apply to fleets?
Yes, and it matters more. The more units you run, the more often a policy change has to reach Highway before it costs you a load.
What if my policy is not with VL 17?
Then the standard does not apply to it. Certification covers the policies our agency writes and services. Moving your coverage to us is what puts it under that standard.
